Thank you for selecting Chuck’s Fish for your private event needs.  The following is information regarding procedures and guidelines for functions at Chuck’s Fish. 


All arrangements for food and beverages are made through the restaurant’s Special Events Coordinator, Allison Mims (click to email).  Outside caterers will not be allowed use of the restaurant.  The only exception is a birthday or wedding cake.  Banquet menus, room arrangements, and other details pertaining to your function must be finalized and submitted at least two weeks prior to the function date.



AVAILABLE ROOMS


Our Private Room is located on the balcony level and seats up to 20 guests.  The room fee for the Private Room is $150.00.  This room is ideal for birthdays, friends and family, and casual business needs.


The Stage Room on the main floor includes a private bar and fully sound-equipped stage for entertainment/bands and seats up to 60 guests with a total capacity for up to 80 guests for cocktails and appetizers.  The room fee for the Stage Room is $500.00.  This space is ideal for business and social networking events with cocktails and appetizers. It is also a festive party space for birthdays and anniversaries, offering a relaxed atmosphere featuring exposed brick walls, two wall-mounted flat screen TVs, and a variety of folk art.


Our Banquet Room provides a completely private floor of the restaurant fully equipped with a bar, private restrooms, a hardwood floor lounging area with leather sofas, a working fire place and a carpeted banquet room, as well as two wall-mounted flat screen TVs.  This area is a warm, welcoming space for groups of 20 to 90 guests for special events and can accommodate up to 200 guests for cocktails and appetizers. The room fee for the Banquet Room is $550.00.  This room is well suited for wedding rehearsal dinners, birthdays, anniversary parties, office parties, continuing education*, private presentations*, and is perfect for Alabama football parties.

*(Chuck’s provides an AV Screen for business needs for a fee of $75.00)



GUARANTEES


All parties must guarantee the number of guests at least 72 hours before the function.  For all groups of 100 or more, a guaranteed number within 80% of the final count is required one week prior to the event.  The restaurant will accept no responsibility for serving more than 10% extra, but will make every effort to accommodate.  The charge will be based on the guarantee or by the actual attendance, whichever is larger.



PRICES


Your private function will be assessed a 20% gratuity to food and alcohol beverages plus a 9% sales tax for food, gratuity, and miscellaneous add-on charges.  Parties with 20 guests or less may order from the menu; we also provide the option of a Limited Menu for events with up to 30 guests.



DEPOSITS


A credit card is required to secure a date.  A client may cancel or reschedule an event 72 hours beforehand.  If proper notice is not given within the required time frame, the room fee will be charged to the credit card and is nonrefundable.



OTHER FACTS


All room fees include booking fee, set up of room, break down/clean up, linens, tea light candles, as well as basic beverages such as teas, soft drinks and coffee.  To better serve you, parties with 30 guests or more are required to have food served buffet style.  Parties of up to 30 may offer a Limited Menu.  Parties with less than 20 guests may order directly from the menu.


With regards to private functions, Chuck’s Fish closes at 11:00 PM.  Unless approved arrangements are made prior to the event, any group who chooses to stay later will be charged an additional $100.00 per hour.  If entertainment must break down, they must be out by 11:45 PM or the same charge of $100.00 per hour applies.  Reserved rooms are available from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  Special accommodations will be made for continuing education, luncheon and Sunday Brunch events.



Bar Set Up:


Bar set up can include a Cash Bar (each guest pays for their own beverage), Open Bar (all beverages are included on a final bill) or a combination of the two.  The bar can be fully stocked to include domestic and imported beers, wine and liquor.  The bar can also be stocked as a Limited Bar with your selections of beer, wine and/or liquor.


*Dedicated bartenders are available for private functions at a flat fee of $75.00 per bartender plus gratuity.


Chuck’s Fish charges a $10.00 per bottle corkage fee when a party chooses to supply its own wine and champagne. 



Chuck’s After-Hours:


The main floor of Chuck’s Fish is available for late night parties (11:00 pm to 1:45 am) and can accommodate up to 400 guests for cocktails.  Fees for after-hour events total $1500.00 plus security (provided by TCB, Matt Colson).  This fee includes a room charge and an administration/booking fee as well as bartenders.  Chuck’s also requires a $1000.00 security deposit which is held for 48 hours after the event to assess for damages.  If no damages are found, the deposit check is shredded or returned to the client.

By law, last call is 1:30 am and guests are asked to clear the building by 1:45.


Decorations:

You may bring decorations and arrange tables, chairs, etc.  Please let us know in advance.  Chuck’s Fish is not responsible for items left behind.
